Registration begins June 22!
Join us for a summer of reading, growing, and exploring! Children and teens ages 0β17 can participate in our
Plant a Seed, Read Summer Reading Program. Pick up a Summer Reading Kit at the library and complete fun challenges all summer long to earn rewards, prizes, and entries into our grand prize drawings.
How It Works
- Register for Summer Reading and receive your Summer Reading Kit.
- Track your reading using either Beanstack or the paper tracker included in your kit.
- Complete challenges to earn seeds, prizes, and rewards.
- Finish all six challenges to become a Master Gardener and earn an entry into the grand prize drawing.

The Six Challenges

- Read for 7 days
- Attend a library program
- Find 5 flower pots in the Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
- Read for 7 more days
- Grow Your Community by sharing something you learned, created, planted, or enjoyed this summer
πΌ Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
Hidden flower pots will be displayed at businesses throughout Northbridge all summer long. Find at least 5 pots to earn a special reward, then keep exploring for bonus surprises and prize entries!

π Summer Reading Kickoff
Wednesday, June 24 β’ 11:00 AMβ1:00 PM
Celebrate the start of summer with lawn games, crafts, activities, treats, music with Deb Hudgins, and summer fun for all ages. Drop in and pick up your Summer Reading Kit!
π± Rewards & Grand Prizes
Each completed challenge earns a visit to the Mystery Seed Bin or Treasure Chest. Complete all six challenges to become a Master Gardener and be entered into an age-group grand prize drawing.
Track Your Reading on Beanstack
π©βπΌπ§βπ« Adult Summer Reading Challenge π§ββοΈπ©ββοΈ
Adults can participate in their own Summer Reading Challenge. Sign up on Beanstack. Log your reading in the app to earn virtual tickets. Tickets go towards the chance to win some great gardening and literary themed prizes, including a gift card to New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill thanks to the Friends of the Library. The more you read the more chances to win. Download the Beanstack app to make logging even easier.
Pick up an Adult Bingo sheet at the library at the Summer Reading Kickoff on June 24 and return it by August 22 for a chance to win a refreshing prize. Adults can participate in both the paper Bingo sheet and the Beanstack challenge. Take some time this summer to plant a seed, READ, and get even more free stuff from the library.
