Summer is here, and we’re ready to grow something amazing together!
Children and teens ages 0–17 are invited to join Whitinsville Social Library’s Summer Reading Program: **Plant a Seed, Read!** This summer is packed with books, activities, prizes, scavenger hunts, and plenty of opportunities to explore, create, and connect with your community.
STEP 1: Register
Beginning June 22, stop by the library to pick up your Summer Reading Kit.
Each kit includes:
🌱 Seed starter kit and seeds
📖 Reading tracker
🗓️ Summer program calendar
🌸 Scavenger hunt tracker
💻 Beanstack information
🎁 A few special surprises
Read Your Way
Families can choose whichever tracking method works best:
✔ Beanstack (online)
✔ Paper tracker (included in your kit)
Books, audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines, and family read-alouds all count!
STEP 2: Complete the Six Challenges
Earn rewards, prizes, and mystery seeds as you grow through the summer.
1. Register for Summer Reading
2. Read for 7 days
3. Attend a library program
4. Find 5 flower pots in our Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
5. Read for 7 more days
6. Share how you grew this summer
Finish all six challenges and become a **Master Gardener**, earning an entry into our grand prize drawing!
Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
Keep your eyes open all summer long!
Flower pots will be hidden at businesses throughout Northbridge. Find at least five to complete the challenge.
